   the problem is here in this line... FTN domains are only 8 characters long...   
   i just polled carol's system and i do not see her argus presenting that   
   address like that but that might be because of my alias-for lines in my   
   configuration... in your binkd config file, there should be some "domain   
   alias-for" lines...   
      
     domain fido alias-for fidonet   
     domain fido.net alias-for fidonet   
     domain fidonet.org alias-for fidonet   
     domain fidonet.net alias-for fidonet   
      
   the purpose of these alias-for lines is to override erroneous entries that   
   others put in their configurations... the above four fix the majority of   
   fidonet misconfigurations... if you are in any othernets, you might also   
   have/need some for them...
