SR> I use 3 different links but I have a feeling that they all link anyway

True, with the internet as a vehicle for the feeds, there's more linking
than one might think at first thought... Like, Craig at Chowdanet in RI
feeding from Jack in GA... So yours might* be all linked, especially if
they are all in the same region. But it's not necessarily the case,
other than the ultimate linking of the entire echo system.... :) At the
moment, I grab message packets (which at minimum contain DADS, MEMORIES
and whatever's left of the genealogy areas, unless not carried by that
bbs) from a number of BBS's, from all over... Doc's Place in Florida,
Fidotel in Virginia, Thunderbolt in Arkansas (doesn't have DADS,
though), Juxta in Canada (Quebec?), Holodeck here in Rochester NY, as
well as Chowda in Rhode Island. I used to poll at Fonix in England,
too, until he went down. There's enough variation in the feed that I
doubt that they are all linked (and besides, they don't all go down
   together, either.... ).

Telnet gives what is essentially local access to bbs's that I couldn't
   afford to dial-up long distance...

   ttyl neb

... When in doubt...No, don't do that either.
