   I used to have a couple laptops but they ended up going to people who probably   
   appreciated them more then I did.  As far as pc's I have two working ones and   
   quite a few, some of them oddball ones that are not really pc's (server type   
   boards etc.), that I could get up and running in short order if needed.

   Right.  If just routing/masqureading/firewalling then it doesn't really need   
   much in the way of disk space and/or ram.
