   Yes, my friend and I (both solidly adults ) certainly did.  :)

   For a while, there were some exhibits in one of our local malls that I   
   could sit and watch for ever...  they had balls that would drop through   
   a set-up of gravity-driven arms and levers and baskets, etc (hard to   
   describe, although I can see it plain as day in my mind!)... along the   
   way, all kinds of sounds would be produced, some by the balls themselves   
   hitting the next item, some by mallets and such that were put in motion   
   by the ball's passing through.  The only power supplied other than   
   gravity was the small motor that ran the spiral that returned the balls   
   to the top of the contraption.  :)

   I'm afraid I do know what you mean.  Not quite the same as the original.   
   I remember a few of the the original type myself... different ambience.
