On 08 Sep 05 11:11:29, Sharon Coyne got back to Danny Ceppa        -> Re: John's Surgery               RY>> with the local stations... The locals can fill the time slots        RY>> with syndicated programming, of course. It's only a matter of        RY>> time..                DC> What I'm thinking is of the loss of national news at the local level.        DC> Not everyone has cable.               SC> That is what I'm thinking too since I don't have cable. Would that        SC> mean I wouldn't be able to watch Nightline and shows like that? Those        SC> are my favorites after L & Os.              Well, as it is, I got very ticked off with ABC when they canned Bill        Mahr.               Too an extent, broadcast news has gotten too vanilla. Then again,        the other stations have become to radical.               I want to see stations and broacasters I can trust. I think it        all went south when Cronkite retired...                      --- OMX/Blue Wave/DOS v2.30        * Origin: Soundly on the Fault Line (1:138/666.0)    |
