   Both sides worked properly when the bbs was offline, and only serving as   
   a mail server that then sent the mail on to the users, and would receive   
   the replies to send on out...  I think that something may have happened   
   to the batch file, and, as that is less of a deal as the larger qwk   
   packets (users not complaining about), just hasn't been taken care of.    
   The sysop has been particularly busy lately on non-bbs stuff.

   I understand that a large part of it is that new computer users are   
   taught, and given software, for getting onto the Inet.  BBS's aren't   
   even mentioned.  Once upon a time, you bought a computer, you might well   
   be given a list of access numbers for local bbs's, and shown how to get   
   on at least one of them...  And most of the "net" talk was of bbs nets,   
   not the Internet...   
      
   To some extent, it's just a little piece of a much wider practice of   
   decentralizing, of the break-down of community.
