   Exactly.  Unfortunately, the genealogy echoes needed a fairly high   
   volume (and an even higher number of usual-lurkers) to maintain that   
   critical mass, and have good discussions going.  There are just SO many   
   different family names, you need a lot of people to run into anyone else   
   who is searching the same names as you...
