   I heard there was a cold snap headed in that general direction.  Here it has   
   been cool but suprisingly not that much rain the last little while.  The   
   mountaintops are very white though and I hear the skiers are very happy.  At   
   sealevel we're hovering just above freezing.   
      
   I saw a thing on CNN about Rochester importing and deputizing extra police to   
   round up criminals on the lam.  Something to do with an insufficiant policing   
   budget rather then an actual increase in crime, which makes sense if they're   
   concentrating on dealing with old crime.  I thought it was interesting but   
   weird.
