Hey Nancy! Dec 11 20:55 05, Nancy Backus wrote to Maurice Kinal: MK>> It is your job as a BBS user. NB> Aye, Aye, Sir! ;) Seriously, absolutely agreed... :) Then there is a chance of a future. Without that there isn't. NB> You may remember I'm in Rochester, NY...? Yep. How's the weather? NB> Most of my email is keeping in touch with friends, sometimes family. Some of mine is that. Also do some transfers but that has declined over the years. ftp is the most mission critical app here and has been since long before here was here. NB> And my primary BBS sends me my QWK packets via email... That sounds to be a better idea then the old fashioned method for transfers especially considering that email is a mission critical app to your system. Using a 'must have' app as a base for other apps reduces the overall bloat to the system. Good to hear that others can appreciate that mode of thinking and are willing to do something with it. NB> I understand there are still ways of tracking them down... Yes but the numbers that can be tracked down are declining. NB> ... BBS? Yeah, I do bbs. But I can control it ... Amen.
