NB> Maybe... But that sounds a lot like the naysayers that thought it
    NB> would
NB> all fold with Y2K... and here we are, 5 years, almost 6, later... :)

MK> Too true. However I stand by my prediction until proven wrong. I'll
MK> admit it then that I was wrong but then you'll have to be here in order
MK> to hear it and nothing will have changed. Right?

While we never really know what the future will hold... I'd guess
I'll still be around to hear you admit it... :) I still monitor the
genealogy echoes, empty as they are... I fully expect to be one of
ones finally turning off the lights, when/if that time comes.... unless
I personally no longer exist before that time... :) [I suspect that
that was one of the reasons Dan invited me over here... ]

NB> There's even a few of those who gave up that
NB> keep coming back to check things out, and see (often to their
NB> surprise) that things are* still going... :)

MK> I've been one of those except I had to look REALLY, REALLY hard the
MK> last time I was hunting.

One of my local sysop friends was one of those aforesaid naysayers... he
was also one of those that came back to see what was going on... still..
He had taken down his bbs late 1999, as he was convinced that Y2K was
the deathknell for the network and all... Guess he was wrong... ;>
