MK> I've gotten used to more snappy, short replies over the years
MK> so yours was a bit different then I am used to these days.

True enough.... which I know is more common nowadays, which, of course,
was why I first demurred to tell the tale as it WAS so long and
involved. Just no way to tell it short, though...

MK> I did read it a couple of times so I think I have a good handle. You
MK> have my blessing for what that is worth.

   Thanks. :)

MK> said to exist in this case. Also she was in advanced years so there
MK> were other problems which compounded just the Parkinson's. Hopefully
MK> what did transpire was the right thing but looking back now I do wonder
MK> and some of that causes guilty feelings on my part. I am not sure I
MK> should feel ANY guilt but that is a tough sell sometimes. Overall I
MK> think we all did what we could, including myself, but ...

Second-guessing after the fact is common... and usually unproductive.
One does what one can and must when the time comes, and one does the
best one can in the circumstances, and the rest is out of our hands. :)

And usually, the feelings of guilt are part of the grieving process,
wishing that we could have been able to do more or better or whatever.

NB>> It's just that the agency seems to have it in for her (and me)...

MK> I have to wonder if they are more concerned with their situation then
MK> either of yours. Funding, control issues, etc. Not to say that is
MK> true, but I do wonder for sure.

Oh, I'm sure that what they are really concerned with is their issues...
covering themselves from what they perceive as liability, control
issues, etc. Possibly funding, as she is paid for by Medicare/Medicaid,
which may well not pay as well as they'd like to charge for private pay.
But then, most clients would be coming in with some sort of insurance,
which is always looking to "control costs".

MK> I know. Wish I could do more but can't so you'll get what I have to
    MK> give.
    MK> You're much welcome btw.

Having an understanding ear to spout off to, when needed, is as
important as just about any other help I can find... :) For the
moment, things are fairly calm, so we're coping pretty well... :)

   ttyl neb

... How can I run amok? I don't even own one.
