-=> Quoting Maurice Kinal to Nancy Backus on 12-04-05 18:21 <=-               MK> Right. However that is only half the problem seeing you need a BBS to        MK> connect to which can provide the properly formatted output (to you) and        MK> also create the proper output from your input to the rest of the Fido        MK> world. Without BBS support BW and QWK (all Fido formats for that        MK> matter) are totally useless to anyone, including you. Any network,        MK> Fido included, requires a group effort to make it work and it is        MK> painfully obvious that 99.999999999999999999999999999% of the users out        MK> there in the cold, cruel world don't have or want any of the formats        MK> including the people who came up with these formats. You say above        MK> that this seems to be the case.               Well... if all the BBS's are gone, then so is Fido, and my reason for       needing to use the BW reader and any form (including QWK) of message       packet... So far, that isn't the case, thankfully... :)              Except for email, I have very little to do with the Internet itself.        Telnet over the internet to get to the BBS's would also be unnecessary       were there no BBS's, of course. Everything I do on the I'net I also am       doing in DOS at this point... When that* dies, I suppose Linux might be       the way my Wizard will take us... assuming that I still care about using       the I'net and such... :)              ttyl neb              ... I need to start procrastinating, sometime soon.              ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.20              --- ViaMAIL!/WC v1.60d        * Origin: Chowdanet (401-724-4410) telnet://chowdanet.com (1:323/120)    |
