Nobody wants to hear my life story,        but just in case it may encourage anyone. I too several times lost my job for        long periods of time. During one layoff which lasted for 2 years and I never        thought I'd go back to my former job, I got a job as a security officer. It        stunk. I got just above minimum wage, worked 12 hour days ( or should I say        nights in my case ) And had to work all holidays. You may know the area Nance        as you are local. Over at the trucking companies on Emerson street. All night        out in the cold during the winter. I cheated, back then CB's were still       popular, so I'd sit in my car between rounds and yack on CB, just for company.       No cell phones |
