   True... of course, they'd pay the kids the same rates when they hire   
   them for the jobs, too...   
      
   Another side of this, too, though...  When one has been out of work for   
   over a year, and has had absolutely no luck getting a job in one's   
   field, or anywhere else, for that matter, even those jobs with barely   
   over minimum wage start looking a lot more attractive.  While they   
   certainly still won't pay all the bills, they can stem some of the   
   hemorrhaging of money from the savings accounts, and/or keep one from   
   having to be totally on assistance.  :)
