   Christmas seems empty and nihilistic to me, as if the visual forms are still   
   present, but the substance isn't there.  I tell people who ask me what to get   
   them, to get me nothing, because the whole commercialisation of Christmas turns   
   it into a chore, a grind, an obligation and little more.
