DAG> Ack. Technical issues all around. Dang solar flares.

But at least it made it out... Now, it seems that my usual bbs is
working again, so hopefully this will make it out just fine... :)

NB>> Haven't seen a deluge of messages from you yet... they've been coming
NB>> along at only one or two a day... Had they arrived, you might have

DAG> Well that's kind of odd. I guess however they get there it's better
DAG> that they're arriving than not. Heh.

Maybe any that have gone missing weren't important anyway...? Once
I'm caught up, I might do the check of what has or hasn't been
   answered... ;)

DAG> They are hanging out together again as I type this. I don't know
DAG> what happened with his friend's mom, but she was unable to find

DAG> the guys. So he's hanging out here until 5. I think they're a little
DAG> bored about stuff to do, but I'm going to be heading outside with them
DAG> in awhile here. Always better with someone to hang out with, though,
    DAG> for the most part.

Sounds like that worked out well, then... :) Good that you'd
established enough of a relationship that she would think of letting the
kids spend the time together instead of just panicking about where he
could go... Sometimes it can be tough to find the occasional all-day
sitter for a school-age child... or prohibitively expensive... ;0

DAG>> extra-curricular activity, too, and I'm pretty sure I can manage
    NB>> That sounds promising... :)
DAG> He's already gotten some razzing from the other members that are on
DAG> the team (if it actually comes together). At least one of them said
DAG> something about "But we only want people that are _good_ at basketball
DAG> to be on our team." So I know he's getting a little bit of crap about
DAG> it. He hasn't asked to back out, though, so I'm taking that as a good
    DAG> sign.

Kids can be cruel... One might wonder just how good the other kid is
anyway... If it's something that he really wants to do, I'm glad that
he's willing to work for it... :)

NB>> We all have our own weaknesses and strengths... and function in our own
NB>> ways... And what we do does trickle down into our children's behavior,
NB>> for better or worse, but not always how one might expect... and not
NB>> always permanently, either... I guess my philosophy tends to boil down
NB>> to let people be, but offer the helping hand where useful and whenever
    NB>> possible... :)
    DAG> I agree completely.

It tends to be more helpful... and more productive... :)

NB>> The ebb and flow of the different parts of our lives... ;)

DAG> *resists quoting 'Days of our Lives' opening words with changes

   Good for you...
