Damon,              DAG> I think that might've been my system's fault at this point. I used to ha       DAG>problem where the Synchronet BBS process would jump up to 100% CPU usage, a       DAG>totally stop importing any messages to networked message areas. My guess i       DAG>that it stopped sending outbound at the same time. Anyway I was wondering        DAG>things had been so quiet for a few days, took a look at the process list, s       DAG>that was the case, and fixed it a few days ago... So there might have been       DAG>small deluge of messages that'd be held up on my system.               I hadn't connected with my main FIDONet hub (Janis Kracht) in several       days, but got a bucket load of messages...the QWK packet is rather full       tonight. :P               It was a good thing I had bought a used Windows Vista Home Basic       Laptop at a recent ham radio event in Shreveport, Louisiana. I had       bought a similar one at a ham radio in Monroe, Louisiana, from the same       gentleman, but the new one has more memory and hard drive space. Anyway,       I had to reset the date and time in the CMOS tonight, but after that, I       kept getting a BSOD error when I tried to boot up. So, that one, along       with another older laptop (which has XP on it, but also limited on       memory and hard drive space), will go to a local shop for formatting and       parts use. I had bought a used Windows 7 32-bit laptop from a fellow       Sysop, and will eventually move the BBS to it.               We got 1 to 2 inches of much needed rain here today from storms, but       we still have storms in the forecast into Monday. Fire danger has been       high, with burn bans all over the place. But, the storms mean little or       no computer or BBS work.              Daryl              ---        þ OLX 1.53 þ Velcro - what a rip off!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  --- Virtual Advanced Ver 2 for DOS         * Origin: The Thunderbolt BBS (1:19/33)    |
