         Title: Peanut Brittle Pumpkin Pie
    Categories: Pies
         Yield: 1 Pie

2 c Cooked or canned pumpkin
         3 Eggs
       3/4 c White sugar
       3/4 c Brown sugar
       3/4 ts Cinnamon
       1/4 ts Ginger
       1/4 ts Allspice
       1/4 ts Cloves
       3/4 c Whole milk or half-and-half
         1 pn Salt
         1 c  Peanut brittle candy;
              - crushed
         1 Pastry-lined pie plate

Start by placing the pumpkin in a mixing bowl.

Lightly beat the eggs in a separate bowl.

In another bowl, blend the white and brown sugars with the cinnamon,
ginger, allspice, and cloves. Add this mixture to the beaten eggs.

Stir in the milk and a pinch of salt, mixing until everything is well
     combined.

Pour this mixture into the pumpkin and beat it all together until
     smooth and creamy.

Turn the filling into your pastry-lined pie plate and bake in a hot
oven (around 425?F) for 10 minutes.

Reduce the heat to moderate (around 350?F) and continue baking until
a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the pie from the oven and sprinkle the crushed peanut brittle
     over the top.

Return the pie to the oven and bake slowly until the candy begins to
melt, creating a sweet, crunchy topping.
