   Hi Mike,

MP> > We ended up with about 3.5 inches (measured on our back deck). Other

    MP> where

MP> Oh goodness, sounds like you got lucky there.

Quite so; we got caught between two systems that were supposed to merge
and give us a whopper of a storm. They didn't merge but gave us enough
"weather" to keep kids out of school for a couple of days, then delayed
start time for the rest of the week. Black ice was the main "worry
issue". Some kids had remote learning, some had snow days, depending on
the type of school (traditional, year round, etc) they went to.

MP> one. > Second one I'll be doing the crock pot goulash, have all I need
MP> for that > on hand but have to take it out to the camper.

MP> I like to try to be ready to travel some time in advance also. For me
MP> it is so I can identify any forgotten odds and ends that might pop up
MP> (and need time to take care of) before I head out. There is always
    MP> something last minute, isn't there? ;)

Usually so; I've got my clothes and a lot of the non fridge foodstuffs
out in the camper. Just have to load up the fridge (after a shopping
trip and raiding our fridge and freezer). I've also got to grab a sewing
project (have one bagged), make sure I have the right thread color for
it to keep me busy while Steve is "radioing".

MP> Hope you all have fun at your event.

Thanks, we'll be seeing some folks we've met at previous events, meeting
a lot of new faces to go with call signs. Steve's is NY4NC, or as he
says, "I left New York for North Carolina". (G)
