         3 lb Ground beef   
        56 oz (2 cans) diced tomatoes;   
              - undrained   
        60 oz (4 cans) pinto or black   
              - beans; rinsed, drained   
         1 lb Smoked kielbasa; sliced,   
              - halved   
         2 lg Onions; halved, thin sliced   
        16 oz (2 cans) tomato sauce   
       2/3 c  Hickory-flavored barbecue   
              - sauce   
     1 1/2 c  Water   
       1/2 c  (packed) brown sugar   
         5    Fresh banana peppers; seeded   
              - sliced   
         2 tb Chilli spice mix   
         2 ts Ground mustard   
         2 ts Instant coffee granules   
         1 ts (ea) dried oregano, thyme &   
              - sage   
         1 ts Cayenne pepper   
         1 ts Crushed red pepper flakes   
         2 cl Garlic; minced   
       
     In an 8 qt. stockpot or Dutch oven, cook beef over   
     medium heat until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes; crumble   
     beef; drain.   
        
     Stir in the remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.   
     Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring   
     occasionally.
