       3/4 c  Canola oil   
       1/4 c  Lemon juice   
         2 cl Garlic; minced   
       1/2 ts Salt   
       1/2 ts Pepper   
         2 lb Romaine; torn   
         2 c  Chopped tomatoes   
         1 c  Shredded Ementhal cheese   
       2/3 c  Slivered almonds; toasted,   
              - opt   
       1/2 c  Grated Parmesan cheese   
         8 sl Bacon; cooked, crumbled   
         1 c  Caesar salad croutons   
       
     In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the oil,   
     lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper; cover and shake   
     well. Chill.   
        
     In a large serving bowl, toss the romaine, tomatoes,   
     Swiss cheese, almonds if desired, Parmesan cheese and   
     bacon.   
        
     Shake dressing; pour over salad and toss. Add croutons   
     and serve immediately.
