         Title: Greek Lamb Meatballs W/Tzatziki Sauce

       1/3 c  Whole wheat panko bread   
              - crumbs   
         1 lg Egg; beaten   
         1 lg Egg white; beaten   
         1 cl Garlic; minced   
       3/4 ts Salt   
         1 ts Minced fresh mint   
       1/2 ts Dried basil   
       1/4 ts Pepper   
       3/4 c  Crumbled feta cheese   
     1 1/2 lb Ground lamb   
      
   MMMMM--------------------------TZATZIKI-------------------------------   
     1 1/2 c  Plain Greek yogurt   
       1/2 c  Peeled grated cucumber;   
              - strained   
         2 cl Garlic; minced   
         2 ts Lemon juice   
         1 ts Snipped fresh dill   
       1/4 ts Salt   
              Add'l grated cucumber and   
              - fresh dill; opt   
       
     Set oven @ 350oF/175oC.   
        
     In a large bowl, combine the first nine ingredients.   
     Crumble lamb over mixture and mix lightly but   
     thoroughly. Shape into 1-1/2-in. balls. Place meatballs   
     on a greased rack, on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake until   
     internal temperature reaches 165o, 20-25 minutes.   
        
     Meanwhile, combine tzatziki ingredients. If desired,   
     garnish with additional grated cucumber and dill.

     Makes: 3 1/2 dozen meatballs and 2-1/2 cups sauce
