   NPR is collateral damage...

SD> NPR Is Collateral Damage in Battle to Brand Tea Party

    SD> Posted By Andrew Breitbart On March 11, 2011 @ 9:59 am

SD> This article first appeared at the Huffington Post [1].

Since O'Keefe's video has been shown to be fraudulent, why is
    that even an issue?

SD> The latest James O’Keefe success story [2] against NPR has
SD> taken a predictable pattern — panicked press releases and
SD> firings, followed by denunciation of O’Keefe in a belated
SD> attempt to discredit him. Naturally, conservatives are

Esp since Glen Beck's people discredited O'Keefe definatively.

    ...

SD> as racist. Remember the protests on Capitol Hill last March
SD> against ObamaCare, and the media’s lie that members of the
SD> Congressional Black Congress had awful racial slurs hurled
SD> at them by Tea Party members that weekend? Did you know
SD> that there’s video evidence that it isn’t true?

How is there evidence it isn't true?

Remember the right wing mantra, "Lack of evidence is not
    evidence of lack."?

    ...

SD> But the mainstream media has allowed the lie to live on as
SD> one of the central “proofs” of Tea Party racism. It’s been

Only a true fool believes there is no racism at all in the Tea
    Party.

SD> The mainstream media promotes the idea that the Tea Party
SD> is racist because they want to delegitimize an authentic,
SD> grassroots movement that stands up to big government. And

And that is a lie from the git-go. The Mainstream media says
little about the Tea Party, but practically nothing negative.

SD> the “Tea Party N-word” story ties all the other lies about
    SD> the Tea Party together–that it’s violent, that it’s
SD> extreme, that it’s a “mob.” If you want to see what a

Which has not appeared in the MSM that I have seen at all.

    ...

SD> James O’Keefe’s NPR tapes show what conservatives already
SD> knew: that avowed radical religious extremist racists like
SD> the Muslim Brotherhood get better treatment from
SD> journalists than politically engaged Americans who believe
SD> in limited government. Jihadist high-rollers or the

Glen Beck showed what progressives already knew, that right
wingers would believe any lie that paints the opposition badly.

    ...

SD> guilty-until-proven-innocent Tea Party or people at town
    SD> hall meetings.

The Tea Partyiers were proven guilty at town hall meetings.

SD> But here’s the question that no one on the left–except Jon
SD> Stewart [8]–is asking about the NPR sting: why did NPR roll
SD> over so quickly? Why did they fire Ron Schiller that same
SD> day, and why did NPR’s board fire Vivian Schiller the next?

True. Why did they cave to O'keefe's fraud?

SD> Ron Schiller could have fought back. He could have
SD> emphasized that he was speaking in his personal capacity,
SD> and that he had no input into NPR’s editorial process. But
SD> he didn’t fight. Why not?

Or, he could have argued that he did not say what he was accused
of, and the O'Keefe faked up his videos. Which happens to be the
    truth.

    ...

SD> Maybe NPR knows there’s more to come–that O’Keefe has more
SD> evidence of high-level collusion with the radical left.

Turns out O'Keefe didn't even have what he posted.
