Adware is probably easier for it to catch        RM> since it has to display through the browser, but I do get a Lot of        RM> sites complaining that they can't send me ads because they are being        RM> blocked and asking me to turn that off, so I know that works pretty        RM> well..              Based on what I can figure out about tracking, websites are storing cookies in       our browsers, and then when we go to another website, the latter website       is making logical decisions about us based on the cookies from the       websites we previously visited. That can be averted by deleting cookies.              Adware, on the other hand, used to hijack browsers rampantly (e.g. "You're pc       is infected!") But now days I'm assuming that adware is less conspicuous, and       instead of trying to elicit a response from victims, it's probably just spying       on us silently instead.              So it sounds like Opera might be a good choice for averting adware.              --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A49 2023/04/30 (Windows/64)        * Origin: JoesBBS.Com, Telnet:23 SSH:22 HTTP:80 (1:342/200)       SEEN-BY: 105/81 106/201 128/187 129/305 153/7715 154/110 218/700 226/30       SEEN-BY: 227/114 229/110 111 114 206 300 307 317 400 426 428 470 664       SEEN-BY: 229/700 705 266/512 291/111 320/219 322/757 342/200 202 396/45       SEEN-BY: 460/58 712/848 902/26 2320/105 5075/35       PATH: 342/200 229/426           |
