   It's not rediculous at all. Covid-19 and the flu are two very different   
   things. I'm sure medical science would like to solve the flu with a vaccine

   Currently the country is being ravaged by the delta variant. When the   
   vaccince was developed the delta variant was unheard of and yes, you can   
   still get covid even if you are vaccinated but you are still protected and   
   may not have symptoms at all and you are unlikely to need hospitalization or   
   die.

   The efficacy of the vaccine is well proven.

   It is largely the unvaccinated that are getting covid now. Those getting   
   sick with the delta variant (young and old) are at a high risk of   
   hospitalization and death.

   I am being real. I just lost a neice last week. She was 20 something, around   
   27 I think.

   I recommend you get the vaccine and any booster shots your doctor reccomends   
   for you. This virus is similar to the flu in that it changes over time and   
   that is why boosters may be needed.   
      
   You are right about the facts though. Talk to your doctor or a medical   
   professional you can reach out too and get the facts.
