AA>"Upload, sync, and share files from your Windows desktop,
     >laptop or tablet. Supports Windows 8, 10, and 11."

AA> ..well, I'm at Win7 max, so that ain't gonna work for me.

Yes, My main conputer is Win7 as well.. They do have Apps for
Android and Apple Phones and I do frequently access Sync using
my phone but, because I'm using it so light duty, I just use a
   browser on the phone.

AA>For now, I use a combination of Proton storage and rclone
     >methods to sync and keep backups.

I was looking at that and that seems a fairly safe outfit too,
although it is based in the Switzerland instead of Canada.
That's probably better than China or Russia though.. B)

RM> The Sync free version gives you 5 gig of storage..

AA>Yes.. that seems quite generous. I think Protons file storage
     >is only 2GB. My MS Outlook .PST file alone is 1.8GB
     >compressed!

Yes, my main 2 eMail services each give me 2 gig of storage for
files or saved messages but I don't use any of that other than
   for regular eMail traffic.

But gMail gives you 15gig if you want to trust them.. B)
