|  O.T. (Yet (O.T.) A Bright Blessing  |
|  19 Dec 24 08:00:34  |
From: vlf@star.enet.dec.com Off-topic, yet On-topic. Peace and quiet! - Isn't it a bright blessing that comp.os.vms is SPAM free, now that Google has exited the Newsgroups building? I use the Eternal September feed for Thunderbird, and also a parallel NewsGroupDirect (NGD) Feed in my venerable Forte Agent, for comparison purposes. I disabled all Kill Filters in Agent, to check that there is in fact no SPAM via NGD, since the Eternal September feed does such a good job filtering SPAM. I have not detected any differences in the two feeds, and I like to keep my NGD feed, since their retentions go way back. Is that other comp.os.vms collegiates experience? - in comp.os.vms and other text discussion newsgroups? comp.os.vms is back to pure signal (other than the occasional dickering as to what constitues signal :-) ) A bright blessing, indeed. --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
