   If he were a democrat, her drunk driving arrest would not have ever gotten   
   into the news. It would have been smoothed over quickly, and nobody, even   
   in Texas, would have ever known a person who prosecutes people in court   
   was just as bad, if not worse, than those she goes after.   
      
      
   A `democrat' governor wouldn't have seen the need to preserve the public   
   trust and asked her to resign. Nor, if they had andd she refused, would   
   they have cut funding to her unit till she did.   
      
      
   It would all have blown over rather quickly, the democrat governor making   
   a public show of `doing something' (that is IF it got out)....in a few days   
   or weeks the Texas media would have been distracted by something else...and
