MP> |sysop program modems have lifetime replacement warranties... you        MP> just have to |be able to show that it was gotten during the sysop        MP> program and that it has a |paper trail thru previous repairs and        MP> replacements... i've several of them here |and they have all been        MP> replaced numerous times thru the sysop program... i have |three or        MP> four that need to go back for replacement now and they have been        MP> |sitting for a few years since their breakage...       +-[=>MP]        MP>         MP> Dang, I bet I don't have the receipt anymore. I have moved three        MP> times since I first received it. I will have to look, though!         MP> Thanks for the tip!              you are welcome! AIR, if the unit was received through the sysop program, it       should be registered as such i their database and only the unit's serial       number should be needed... that's all i ever needed to give them when i called       for repairs... i did, though, keep up with what serial numbers i had and which       ones they were replaced with when different units were sent back... that was       some kinda fun at times... especially when the takeover by 3COM was in       effect... i've not tried to get these broken ones fixed since 3COM spun USR       back off to a separate entity, though...              )\/(ark               * Origin: (1:3634/12)    |
