|    A Courier, after all these years!    |

I've run BBSes for years, first as a dial-up BBS, now as a telnet-only BBS. My       BBS started off with a salvaged 2400 baud Anchor modem, then moved up to a       Telebit T3000, then an Intel 14.4, then an assortment of Sportsters, starting       with a 14.4 and working up to the 33.6 fax model.              One thing I could never justify was a USR Courier. I remember when a Courier       was worth serious bragging rights on a BBS ad - moreso if you had more than one       line!              Just yesterday, I was handed a shrink-wrapped box, a USR Courier V.Everything       modem. Opened it up, and felt like a kid on Christmas day. It's big, it's       black, and it's got blinkenlights!              I barely use my home line, but have unlimited local and long distance. I think       it's time to call some BBSes while there are still dialups left!              --kW                      kurt weiske ³ realitycheckbbs.org        ³ kweiske@realitycheckbbs.org        ³ 1:218/700@fidonet       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Win32        * Origin: realitycheckBBS | http://www.realitycheckbbs.org (1:218/700)    |
