DB> See if the old 600 hard drive will spinup and try the C=64 good find. Look on Youtube for EEV (Electrical Engineers ???) Blog. Recently he tore down an old 10gig or so that he thought was a 10 meg. None the less, this thing was larger than your average 5hp lawn mower engine! Quite simplistic design on the inside! Must have had all the hard work done in the controller card! I also dare to ask how much power that baby drew! It was from a bank and he said back in the early 70's, or late 60's it cost a quarter of a million dollars! It had ports for Talon input and output with filters for air filtering! I used to have a full-height 10meg hard drive that'd easily break a foot, but this thing that this guy found will break your back carrying it! --- Renegade vY2Ka2 * Origin: KF5QEO's Shack -- kingcoder.net (1:396/60) |
