Apparently not.              Nope. Not yet atleast.               AA> Now that I recall, the early financing programmes for solar        AA> installations at people's homes (either via roof, or via standalone        AA> units) was a direct-to-grid type of thing - no batteries required.              That's how it works here.              But when you don't get any money any more (or very little) for putting your       generated electricity into the net, batteries will become interesting to store       your own energy, and using it when there is no sun. And hopefully battery       technology will become better and cheaper in the future.               >> That is indeed a very expensive solution. Then when the asset sells, the value is built-in and they        AA> recoup everything.              Most greenhouse owners already generate their own electricity for the lighting       in the greenhouses. And they also use the heat that comes from those big gas       generators to warm up the greenhouses. It's a very efficient way to use energy:              https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cogeneration                     Bye, Wilfred.              --- FMail-lnx64 2.1.0.18-B20170815        * Origin: FMail development HQ (2:280/464)       SEEN-BY: 103/705 105/81 106/127 124/5016 129/305 153/757 203/0 221/0       SEEN-BY: 221/1 6 360 229/426 664 700 240/5832 280/464 282/1038 292/8125       SEEN-BY: 301/1 310/31 322/757 335/364 396/45 423/120 460/58 256 777       SEEN-BY: 460/1124 5858 4500/1 5054/30       PATH: 280/464 460/58 221/6 153/757 229/664 426           |
