    CP> Like I said, I love it. But the destruction  of books by anything other   
   than reading them until they fall apart hurts my heart.   
      
   There are plenty of books I've come across that have page stains/damage ..and   
   are not resalable - let alone undesirable to read due to the suspect damage   
   (mold/mildew/water,coffee stains ..etc).  Maybe the ones on that project were   
   the best that could be salvaged. Maybe no "good" books were harmed.  I have   
   books that look like crap with  their dust-jackets, but beneath the wrap, the   
   spines (and even some of the covers) are little works of art - and the pages   
   of the book could be damaged.
