   I *do* remember the 1st film as a pretty good thrill ride wrt     
   to the flying scenes, the tragedy, and the comeback.   
      
   I just read the wiki plot of the film. Most of the "scenes"     
   played back in my head.  No need to see the film again.  ;)   
      
   But I hear the 2nd film has vastly improved flying scenes due     
   to more clever filming tech, and suspense.   
      
   You might like to give it a try and see what story Maverick has     
   to tell.
