I noticed again the smooth animation of the guy with the       torch lightning the Olympic Fire. I was stunned back in 1984 when I saw       it on the real machine.              Only today I notice that the guy, the fire and eight doves were on the       screen at the same time at some point. I would imagine these are all       sprites. But the C64 only had eight hardware sprites. But with eight       doves, the torch carrier and possibly the flame after being ignited I       count at least ten sprite. How did they pull it off?       --       Andreas              My random thoughts and comments       https://news-commentaries.blogspot.com/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: Agency HUB, Dunedin - New Zealand | Fido<>Usenet Gateway (3:770/3)       SEEN-BY: 1/19 123 15/0 2 16/0 19/36 34/999 90/1 104/57 106/201 116/18       SEEN-BY: 123/130 131 140 132/174 153/7715 203/0 218/700 221/0 222/2       SEEN-BY: 226/16 17 229/101 275 354 426 1014 230/150 152 240/1120 5138       SEEN-BY: 240/5832 5853 249/206 317 400 250/1 261/38 100 266/512 267/155       SEEN-BY: 275/100 282/1031 1056 291/1 111 310/31 317/3 320/119 219       SEEN-BY: 322/0 757 340/400 342/13 200 393/68 396/45 712/848 801/161       SEEN-BY: 801/189 2320/105 2432/390 2454/119 3634/12 5020/1042       PATH: 770/3 1 712/848 261/38 320/219 240/5832 229/426           |
