   Well, FidoNet is still alive and well. WWIVnet is also alive and well, so is   
   GateNet, ACnet.  I am GateNet @1 and ACnet @1.   
      
   There are loads of nets out there and BBSs that have been around a long time.   
   My BBS for instance has been online since 1980. First started on a Commodore   
   PET 4016 with 2 Commodore 8050 duel drives and 2 Commodore SFD-1001 drives and   
   a 300bps modem. telnet://thegatebbs.sytes.net (port 666) and   
   telnet://thegateb.synchro.net (port 23)
