|    Next FCUG meeting - Sunday, September 16    |
|    11 Sep 18 18:48:37    |
Happy end of summer, C= and Ami aficionados!              The Fresno Commodore User Group has its next meeting from 11 a.m. to 2:00+       p.m., Sunday, September 16 at --              Bobby Salazar's Mexican Restaurant       2839 North Blackstone Ave. (corner of Blackstone and Michigan)       Fresno, California       (559) 227-1686              This month we'll talk about the Oct. 13-14 Amiwest Show in Sacramento and the       Dec. 2 Downtown L.A. Maker Faire. Then it's time to hark back a few months when        we watch the video of the CBM engineers' panel discussion at The Commodore       Story movie premiere        which was at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View.              Like last month's meeting, we'll have the SuperCPU 128 to use with the 3D       Construction Kit game, A Chance in Hell. Unlike last month, we'll use SCPU 128       v.1A instead of the SCPU 128 v.1B, the latter not working at the August meeting        (ooo, running A        Chance in Hell at 1 MHz. took a looong time!). Steven Flanagan, author of A       Chance in Hell, just sent over v1.1 of his game which is now further bug-fixed       and enhanced for the SCPU. Steven also sent the 3D Kit Game, the original demo       game which came with        3DCK but which he has enhanced for the SCPU.              Like last month's meeting, we'll look over arguably the best C64 CAD program,       the German Giga-CAD Plus. Unlike last month, this time we'll have Giga-CAD Plus        itself modded with SuperCPU patches and with a printed, Google English       translation of the manual        (that took many hours per day to drop it into the translator and then drop the       translation into a Word file with proper formatting). V.P. Roger has been       working hard on learning the intricacies of Giga-CAD, likening it to an early       version of Blender. And        don't worry... I'm slowly working on cleaning up the Google English of       translation into that of North American English. :)              For fun, we'll have the new VIC-20 games, Spikes, Defense Shield, Alien       Invasion, and Cavern Explorer. Also we'll play around with games for the Amiga       CD32.              Truly,       Robert Bernardo       Fresno Commodore User Group - http://www.dickestel.com/fcug.htm              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: Agency HUB, Dunedin - New Zealand | Fido<>Usenet Gateway (3:770/3)    |
