   I'm posting an awful lot but I thought I'd give this to you.   
      
   The version 2.4 1581 format bug is listed here:    
      
   It says its just a format bug but there is a deeper problem with the 1581   
   emulation that causes the drive to sometimes hang when doing directory   
   commands.  I think the bugs are related.  I got much better mileage out of 2.2   
   than 2.4.  Your mileage may    
   vary.
