|    Growing the 8 Bit Generation - Kickstart    |

Hi Robert,              > I wrote:              >> The film, "Growing the 8 Bit Generation", has its first public       >> screening at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, at the Computer History       >> Museum in Mountain View (South Bay area of San Francisco),       >> California.              > Some photographs of the event can be found at              > http://blog.retro-link.com/2016/04/photos-from-growing-8-bit-generation.html              I am one of the backers for this kickstarter. I put a lot of money into        this project, b/c I was interested in the Blu Ray Edition including the        last interview with Tramiel.              However, I am very disappointed about the production quality: As it turned        out, the fabric that did the production of the Blu Rays didn't press        commercial quality discs through a glass master, but simply copied the        disc by burning the documentary on cheap writable discs.              Besides the problem that this kind of disc is not as durable as pressed        discs, my Xbox One is not capable of playing it. Microsoft itself states        that it does not support burned discs.              Also, after having spent more than 120 Euros for this documentary it is        really disappointing to receive such a low quality product. I am however        in contact with the creator who said that there will be a commercially        available version of the documentary later this year and he'll have it        sent to me.              Funny thing is: Although this is fair, I just can't stop thinking: What        about the so-called exclusiveness of the product for kickstarter backers        only (in regards to the "Last Interview with Jack Tramiel" if there will        be a commercially available version anyway?              Just thinking...              cu,       Christian.                     --- OpenXP 5.0.27        * Origin: (2:240/1120.34)    |
