   At a guess, as I haven't seen one of these reproduction cases: If it's   
   just a thin film of plastic over the hole, a scalpel might be able to   
   cut it out. Otherwise you could drill two small holes at either end   
   of the rectangular hole, use side cutters to cut out the gap, then   
   use a very small file to level off the edges to the right shape.
