   This is entirely possible.  I found a   
   lot of SCSI drives would not spin up   
   with the default power supply (which if   
   I remember right, is 2A).   
      
   I ended up buying an AztecMonster   
   SCSI->CF adapter for my CMD's.  Now I   
   can use an old 1581/1541-II power   
   supply if needed.
