   Hi Roy,

   >> We've had some problems with "quiet" echomail areas so I'm hoping

   Great, thanks Roy :)

   > As for: Anyone ever run into this kind of thing with an older dog?

   > My MIL had two poodles (I called them Big Dog Bait)

   hahahaha ..

   > the worst cook I've ever known (not Italian), but the dogs seemed to do
   > well on that.

Ron's mom had a pomeranian (talk about Big Dog Bait ), and cooked the same
type dinner for him, he was healthy as all get out. His mom also couldn't cook
much hehe... she made great pies though :)

   > As I recall, Ciello (the mother) went to the vet one day
   > for teeth cleaning and never woke up from the anesthetic. Mz Fracaroli was
   > devastated by that and met me at the door of our house when I was off to
   > the shop. Seemed to me that the loss of a dog was worse than the loss of
   > her husband. Dunno what Nancy did to help her get over her grief, but all
   > seemed well when I returned home. Don't remember what happened to the
   > daughter of Ciello, but she wasn't much of a dog to begin with, IMO.

I know some people like the little nippers-type, but I never liked them much..

I think of all my dogs, our German Shepherd was my favorite... great dog. She
was so protective of everyone in the house. One time, the garbage man was in
our kitchen picking up a check for his services, and the dog grabbed him
(gently but firmly) when I handed him the check! I was a little shocked
   needless to say

   Take care,
   Janis
