-=> In a Subspace Msg From Janis Kracht to Mike Roberts <=-                      JK> I keep a plastic container of sugar in a drawer in my kitchen (a big        JK> bin type drawer kind of low to the floor).. everytime I open that        JK> container, there are at least two snouts (sometimes 3) trying to sneak        JK> a taste.. it kills me.                Wow, I did not know dogs were attracted to sweets. But with what You        say and that Cherry carmex smell, it was just something I overlooked        until now.                       > Well, I can tell You this, My dog Simon, can pick out a dog on every        > commercial on tv that has one. Even if there is no barking or anything,        > when one shows up on screen, and Your not going to believe this, but even               > real dog ) He drives me crazy, he runs over and barks and then runs behind        > the tv barking.                      JK> I keep watching my three to see if they notice the dogs on the        JK> screen.. they don't seem to care unless they hear one barking.. then        JK> it's a dash out the dog door since they're sure it must have come from        JK> outside haha                Simon is a little nut to begin with. He sees the dogs or anything on        four legs he thinks is a dog and runs right over to the tv and starts        barking. His brother looks at me as if to say, Simons goin bananas        again Dad, whats his problem? Heheheheh                      > dogs barking or Dog himself has a couple dogs, so I don't watch that as You        > can't hear what is going on...               JK> Man, that is crazy.. and I get upset when the three dogs here decide        JK> they need to sit on the couch with us Lol.. You can't just let one dog        JK> sit with you, since then the other two try to jump up.. we might as        JK> well sit on the floor if that should happen haha               Oh yeah, they get jealous if they think one is getting special       treatment, and they, aren't. When the couch was full, my newfie when he       knew that I wanted to sit down, would sit there sideways and would turn       and rest his head on the backrest of the couch and look at the wall, as       if to say, If I can't see you, You're not there. Therefore, I don't       realize You want to sit down. :-) Him and I would usually get into an       argument then about who had dibs on the couch. Sometimes he'd look at me       with those big brown eyes, and I would realize he had dibs :-)) Spoiled       brat.                       > Dad only had one cat to worry about, I can imagine when a bunch conspire        > together.               JK> One cat is enough sometimes :) When I was growing up we had two.. I        JK> had mine that I found in the basement when the momma had a litter, and        JK> my sister had the momma .. those two cats and our Irish setter got        JK> into more trouble and definitely conspired.. like the time the cats        JK> knocked a platter of cupcakes I made for Latin class to the floor, and        JK> Red (the dog) ate every single one.               Hahahaha Teamwork!!!               >I don't know if I mentioned this a few years back or not. But I        > remember one Year My Mother had passed, and Dad was alone, and My sister        > had been away for years. We invited them over for Thanksgiving. I was in        > charge of the Turkey. Cleared the kitchen of everyone, and Turkey was        > resting that 20 minutes or so to make it nice for carving. Went down into        > the Family room with everyone else. There is a Thud! Looked up into the        > Kitchen and my Newfoundland was chowing down on the turkey. He pulled it        > off the counter and was digging in real good.               JK> WOW :) :) :)                >My sister still laughs her        > head off every time Turkey day comes around and she remembers how mad I got        > when everyone sat around and instead of Turkey with all the trimmings, we        > had trimmings without a turkey |
