*** Quoting Janis Kracht from a message to All ***               JK> Ok, I've given up on Frontline for the dogs and cats here..               JK> I wasted enough money on two applications for each of 3 dogs and 4        JK> kitties..              Hi Janis... I can't say about frontline. I do know that I have read        elsewhere, maybe even in the doghouse fido echo, that Frontline did not work,        even according to some vets.              I can say, not from any previous knowledge, only the advice of my Vet, that I        have used Advantix for a long time and never have had any problems        whatsoever.              My concern is the cost for this and the heartworm meds, which I hear some        people are skeptical of. I dunno if it is all bogus or not. I do know that my        vet did pull a fast one on me with the two pups ( now actually 3 yrs ). When        I brought them in for their first puppy exam they day after I got them. I had        to sign papers, one of the papers was in essence a document which declared        that I would medicate my dogs for fleas/tics and a heartworm medication.        Thats cool, thats what I would normally do. Upon a closer look it was a        declaration of doing that, but the fine print said that the meds "had" bought        on a monthly basis "from the vet". It is like a guaranteed income every month        for the animal hospital. I don't like that, but will admit that my vet will        go out of her way to supply the meds in a manner in which I get a reduced        price, like buy 3 months worth and get one free. If it is too pricey for that        month, she will put the meds under one dogs name and that way I get 4 doses,        so it is two months dose for each dog, instead of having to by 3 months for        each dog to get the 4th free. It can really help as these can be expensive to        buy multiple months at a time. At least for me. 8) So I appreciate her        helping out, I just did not appreciate her locking me into having to do it,        although I doubt they would take anyone to court over it. |
