   Maybe that was limited to a Canada->USA thing?   But from     
   USA->CANADA, you can carry up to $10,000 cash - as long as you     
   declare it - and you can enter.   
      
   I'm surprised that the USA guards had an issue with you     
   accessing "too much money" online!
