They have pretty much the       same plan as I do for $1 less for new members only, and for $4       more you can get 70 Gig of data instead of my 16 Gig, but that's       also just for new members.              Actually, I don't think they even offer my plan anymore, nothing       much under $50 that gives everything I have that isn't just for       new customers.              AA>I find the app more responsive and easier to check and see if        >there is an alternative plan available. I don't check for        >other plans regularly either.              I try to avoid adding more software if I can manage without..       Most Apps seem pretty bloated and often renew ridiculously       often. More that's it's a pain.. I have enough data it's not       about that. I often only use about 5 of the 16 Gig I have now.              AA>Good to hear that they threw in the USA calling. It's not        >available like that anymore. Now, it's a special add-on.              Yes, I looked for that as well tonight and, you're right, no       plans offer it as part of the basic.              AA>Speaking of USA-calling, I recently looked to sign up a senior        >friend to NonameMobile. They advertised (and still do) a $19/        >mo that includes USA-calling. So, I purchased the NonameMobile        >SIM. But upon registration, the process sent me to PCMobile,        >and there was *no* $19/mo plan! And.. and the lowest plan that        >did include USA-calling as $29/mo! I felt very disappointed.        >It's basically a bait 'n' switch - which is illegal, no?              Yes, you see those $19 signs in the stores all the time.       It looks like a great deal - I was tempted to switch but hate       changing from something that's working well for me for a couple       of dollars a month - but I never checked into it far enough       to find out what you did.              AA>For me, the situation simply started getting worse and worse.        >I have an underground feed from a pole on the property but then        >it continues a fair distance (about 50ft) under the driveway to        >the house and demarcation point.              I'm surprised I don't have more problems.. The phone line is above       ground and looks to be in terrible condition and I'm probably       close to 2 miles from the Bell Box. To clarify, only the line to       my house is ratty. The main line is in that heavy phone cable that       they run. Seems to me a while back when they worked on mine it had       to do with ground wires at my house. If I recall, there were two of       them and he ended up cutting one of them to fix things.              The last couple of times, over the past 5 years or so, they just       fixed it at the Box 2 miles away and then phoned me to tell me       it was done.              ---        * SLMR Rob * There can't be a crisis... my schedule is already full!        * Origin: capitolcityonline.net * Telnet/SSH:2022/HTTP (1:2320/105)       SEEN-BY: 105/81 106/201 128/187 129/14 305 153/7715 154/110 218/700       SEEN-BY: 226/30 227/114 229/110 275 300 307 317 426 428 664 700 705       SEEN-BY: 291/111 292/854 320/219 322/757 396/45 460/58 712/848 902/26       SEEN-BY: 2320/0 105 304 5020/400 5075/35       PATH: 2320/105 229/426           |
