So, I switched to that.               RM> Was that a full phone plan, unlimited everything in        RM> Canada, and the Data?              Yep.. the full enchilada. Actually, the $29/mo plan was only        intended for new customers, and they had accidentally included        it for existing customers to pick. BUT.. they had the "error"        in place for nearly a month! ..so, I'm not too sure if that was        a mistake. Anyway, I had a friend who I encouraged to take it!        ..but he waited into the 4th week of the listing.. but by then,        the 29$/mo plan was removed for existing customers - he said        the agent claimed that the $29/mo plan was only for new        customers and that it was an error to list it for existing        customers. So, go figure.              I gladly registered 3 of my SIM devices to the $29/mo plan,        down from the $40 one!                      RM> I checked out some of their better sounding plans last        RM> year but most of the really good ones were just for new        RM> customers.              Yep.. Lucky still seems to disfavour existing (long-time)        customers!                      RM> I did manage to get my unlimited in Canada 4G plan with 16        RM> gig of data (with loyalty bonuses and such) for $35. That        RM> was good enough for me so I haven't even checked for new        RM> plans there since.              Lucky recently dropped and USA calling from their base plans.        Now, USA calling is an "extra" minimum $10/mo.                      AA>> I use a ZTE MF279T that serves phone [thru my regular        AA>> household wiring] and data via wifi. ...               RM> My sister has a system like that. I still actually have a land        RM> line here (wireless hand sets). It only costs me about $29 a        RM> month so I've held onto it. Most people pay over $40 for that        RM> and if mine goes up to that I'd probably drop the land line        RM> and use my Cell for everything like most people do these days.              Yep.. I had a couple landlines to my house, and they were        around $25-$29 before tax too. I was surpised that the minimum        for *new* Bell landline customers was $60-$80! ..so I hung on        the landlines. But the constant reoccurrence of buzz and hum        twice a year (sping and fall - two very wet seasons) started to        drive me crazy. As soon as I learned that a landline phone can        be "ported" to cell (ie. without losing the original number) I        went for it! But now at $29/mo I get unlimited canada-wide        calling, +vmail + callforwarding, callwaiting.. etc, that the        landline did not have.       --         ../|ug              --- OpenXP 5.0.64        * Origin: Stare into this point intently ->.<- (1:153/757.21)       SEEN-BY: 105/81 106/201 124/5016 128/187 129/14 305 134/100 153/0       SEEN-BY: 153/143 148 149 151 153 757 6809 7715 154/30 110 203/0 218/700       SEEN-BY: 221/0 6 226/30 227/114 229/110 275 300 307 317 426 428 664       SEEN-BY: 229/700 705 240/1120 280/464 5003 291/111 292/854 8125 301/1       SEEN-BY: 310/31 320/219 322/757 341/66 234 396/45 423/120 460/58 256       SEEN-BY: 460/1124 5858 633/280 712/848 770/1 902/26 2320/105 5015/46       SEEN-BY: 5020/400 8912 5054/30 5075/35 5080/102       PATH: 153/757 280/464 460/58 229/426           |
