Clarke stated:              Anyone who deliberately aims at the job should be disqualified.              He suggested that the People should choose who they think would       be best at it and then talk them into taking the job..              Granted that's a little tricky when you have populations in       the millions. But Clarke was pretty clever. Long before wireless       communication was much more than a dream he came up with the       idea of a ring of Geostationary satellites orbiting the earth       for communication in a paper he wrote for Wireless World in 1945.       They actually refer to our band of satellites as the Clarke Belt       to give him credit for the idea..              ---        * SLMR Rob * I tried phone sex once, but the holes were too small        * Origin: capitolcityonline.net * Telnet/SSH:2022/HTTP (1:2320/105)       SEEN-BY: 105/81 106/201 128/187 129/14 305 153/7715 154/110 218/700       SEEN-BY: 226/30 227/114 229/110 114 275 300 307 317 426 428 470 664       SEEN-BY: 229/700 705 291/111 292/854 320/219 322/757 396/45 460/58       SEEN-BY: 712/848 902/26 2320/0 105 5020/400 5075/35       PATH: 2320/105 229/426           |
