MSGID: 1:229/426 CC8CDFEC       Hi all,              I'm new to BBSing, well not new, new to 2024-2025 since I rn a C64 and Amiga        BBS back in the 80s. Now I'm running CNet, great system. I want to connect to        a bunch of the FTNs, I'm using PiNet to start with because it's small.              I have the config file filled out with the info I got for PiNet, I start        amibinkd with a script and it does start, but when it gets to the node I need        to contact, it comes back with host unknown. I'm using a real Amiga, with a        Firebird Accellerator and Amiga OS 3.2.2 with AMITCP and MiamiDX. I can ping        everywhere. I can use iBrowse no problem. I can use FTP no problem. When I use       amibinkd it just dies and says host unknown. I tried replacing the hostname        with it's corresponding IP address but that gives me a socket function no        implemented error (or something like that). Does anyone know what I'm doing        wrong here? Does the bink port have to be on my router and forwarded back to        my amiga in order for an amiga initiatiated amibinkd to succeed? I'm using        DHCP and like I said everything else seems to work network-wise and I'm not        perplexed.              Any help would be greatly appreciated....               Jeff       RetroLair.AmigaRetro.Net:6800              --- Renegade vY2Ka2        * Origin: Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?
