   It is quit simple, you have an idea that you like, or a feature that you think   
   is useful.   
   You either "sell" it to someone that says, hey that is useful, I will   
   implement it, or implement it yourself, or pay somebody to implement it, or   
   live without it.

   And I assume the number of people working on the BinkD Source here is quite

   I think you can have perl hooks in binkd.   
   But it might be that those can only be used to react to incoming files.   
   Never used them ... but it might be worth looking into it.   
      
   It might be that the Linux subsystem of windows has a signal implementation.   
   But the first google serach hints that the Microsoft implementation is buggy:
